No printing required so ideal for online/distance learning, cover or non-specialist lessons.
I can describe the key terms associated with emotional literacy
I can consider why it is important to talk about how we are feeling.
Aimed at KS3, particularly Year 7. Lesson is 100 minutes long. Lesson doesn’t require any printing so is suitable for non-specialists and online learning.
Focuses on looking at self-awareness and emotional intelligence
5x 100 minute lessons aimed at KS4 [Year 10] to teach them about radicalisation, extremism, terrorism and counter terrorism. The bundle includes a progress tracker, an additional document worksheet that was uploaded to assignments in teams as a homework task/additional lesson for staff who had them in the final week of the half term- this uses the Stacey Dooley documentary on extremism in Luton. There are a lot of video clips in these lessons, and 1 lesson uses BBC documentary on Neo Nazis. I wouldn’t teach this unit to Year groups in KS3 (Y7-9)
None of the lessons require printing (the first lesson provides a template as we had some key worker kids in, but they can draw an outline at home!) as the unit was taught on Teams during Lockdown 3. Some of the language used in the activities may need to be tweaked to suit a classroom, but this is minimal.
Lesson can all be bought individually in my shop

Lesson 3 looks at grooming and child sexual exploitation and is age appropriate for a KS3 or KS4 class. The lesson uses 3 video clips that are embedded into the slides, if you have an issue playing these back (for some reason some of my previous lessons had small issues) please don’t leave me a low review because of this issue, leave me a fair review with your email address and i will send you the videos straught away. Fingers crossed you should find the videos play well (I had IT help me :) ) The lesson also has a disclaimer for students to think sensibly about their contributions.
Centres around the film Wall:E. As most children have seen this you probably won’t need to show the whole film (but is nice if you have a reward afternoon). The idea of the project is for the students to become advocates of something that will help the world and to create a campaign to stop it from happening e.g. preventing litter in school, raising awareness about water use.

Transition lesson for our roll over curriculum (Y9 students started the AQA GCSE Citizenship course in the last two weeks of the Summer Term). Lesson looks at the timeline of the general election 2024, looking at the manifestos, live debate and who the new prime minister is. Very discussion based/watching video clips, but works well as a transition lesson/introduction to the course. This will take me a double lesson (120 minutes)
